RequirementsHardware RequirementsAs described in Platforms, Engauge will work with almost any processor type (Intel, Motorola, 32 bit, 64 bit, ...) and operating system (Linux, Windows, Solaris, Unix, ...). For good performance, Engauge requires a 1 GHz computer with 512 MB of memory. Note that larger images (above 1 megapixel) may require a faster computer with more memory.Disk space requirements are either 10 MB or 1 GB. The lower value applies to the majority of installations which do not require installing Qt 3.X. The upper value applies to source code installations on computers which do not already have Qt 3.X installed. To see if Qt 3.X is installed, run 'qmake -version' and verify that the version number in parentheses is 3.X. Image RequirementsThe following image file formats are supported:
A graph must have two labeled axes, and can have any number of curves. The user sets up the coordinates by adding points along the two axes, and then digitizes the image by adding points along the curves. The digitized data is then available for export to other tools. A map must have a scale bar. The user sets up the scale by adding a new scale bar on top of the scale bar in the image, and then digitizes the image by adding measures. The measures show angle, distance and area information. The digitized data is then available for copying and pasting into other tools. |
